The turkey put on weight in 144 specially equipped barns located in the Nizhnelomovsky and Kolyshleisky districts. The birds are grown here during 63 days, while female and male turkeys during 98 days. As part of the expansion project of the GC Damate up to 100 thousand tons in carcass weight per year it is planned to build an additional 80 growing barns.

The growing site consists of 8 or 16 special barns with the setting capacity of about 12,000 birds each. The area of each barn is 2,772 sq. m. The growing sites comply in all respects with the biological security requirements: all barns are spaced from each other, only one-aged birds are placed into one barn, the strict sanitary requirements are complied with by the personnel.

Each of eight barns on the growing site has a special computer room with a panel for automatic control of all the systems of the barns, including the systems in the poultry grow-in barns.  For maintaining the normal technological process the following systems are installed in the barns:

Feeding system that includes a bin filled with feed (with a capacity of 15.4 cu. m) from which the feed along lines with special dosing units gets into the receiving hopper from where it is directed to the feed dispensing line;

Drinking systems are provided in the poultry growing barns. The types of applied drinking systems differ depending on the equipment supplier: pendulum and bell drinking bowls.  Water is pumped from own water wells (there are 3 wells 470 m deep each). After purification and sanitary treatment the water is supplied to poultry. The feeding and drinking systems are provided by the leading suppliers of technological equipment Roxell (Belgium) and BigDutchman (Germany)

Medication system envisages bird’s vaccination via drinking systems.

Ventilation system is of the mixed type: in summer tunnel ventilation is used, while in spring, autumn and winter the vent-holes and fans are used. The ventilation equipment is supplied by BigDutchman (Germany).

All the above systems are operated automatically. The poultry growing barns are also provided with the automatic climate-control systems maintaining the most comfortable environment for birds and performing daily monitoring through the whole period of poultry growing.

The barns are equipped with the gas generators to maintain the required temperature in the cold season of a year.
