Damate increased turkey production by 20% in the first half of 2020
Damate Group, the number 1 turkey producer in Russia, keeps up increasing the production of turkey meat. In the first half of 2020, the company produced 73.3 thousand tons, which is 20% more than in the same period a year earlier.
The positive growth dynamics in production volumes is due to the systematic implementation of the project to expand the existing capacities of the turkey production complex up to 155 thousand tons per year, the completion of which is scheduled for 2020. To date, the bulk of the work has been done.
The production facilities of the complex are located in Penza region. As part of the expansion, Damate Group opened Europe's largest poultry processing plant, increased its incubation capacity up to 25.8 million eggs per year, built more than 500 growing and feeding grounds in total, increased grain storage volumes and feed production by several times.
In 2019, Damate produced more than 131 thousand tons of turkey meat, confirmed its position as a leader in the Russian turkey market and entered the TOP-10 turkey producers in the world. The company plans to produce about 155 thousand tons of turkey slaughter weight in 2020.
