Damate increases turkey production volumes by 25% in second quarter of 2019

Damate Group, the largest producer of turkey in Russia, continues to increase turkey production as part of a project to expand the production capacity up to 155 thousand tons per year. In the second quarter of 2019, the company produced 25% more turkey compared to the first quarter - 33.6 thousand tons.

As part of the expansion project, at the end of 2018, 2 brooding and 2 fattening sites in the Vadinsk and Spassk districts of Penza region, another 5 poultry sites located in the same districts were commissioned in the first quarter of 2019.

Thanks to the introduction of new poultry houses, the number of livestock increaed by more than 1.5 million. The annual turnover is currently 3.2 million heads.

The positive growth dynamics of the company is the result of the planned implementation of the project to expand production capacities up to 155 thousand tons by 2020, which included increasing incubation capacity, building of additional turkey growing and fattening sites, launching of a turkey meat processing plant, expansion of the elevator and the feed mill capacities, as well as the introduction of new lands and the purchase of agricultural machinery. To date, a large amount of work has been done, most of the facilities have already been commissioned and are functioning successfully, the project has reached the finish line.
