Damate signed an agreement with one of the largest research companies in New Zealand

Damate Group has signed a cooperation agreement with the New Zealand company AbacusBio. Under the terms of the agreement, specialists from New Zealand will provide consulting services and support to Damate for one year in two areas: business and mutton production.

As part of the service, AbacusBio will develop a tool to facilitate interaction between its own service plant and farmers-producers of sheep products at all stages: from growing to sending to a slaughter plant. In addition, based on its own experience in mutton production, AbacusBio assists Damate in three specific areas: supply chain development, genetics and breeding development, and efficient carcass production. Experts from New Zealand will conduct analytical studies on each issue, providing several options for solutions and implement them together with specialists from Damate.

The New Zealand company will help Damate to build and develop a mutton supply chain from farmer to counter. The consultants, together with the technical specialists of Damate service company, studied the current supply situation, implemented and adapt the most efficient system of work.

During the year AbacusBio will provide Damate with consultations in the field of genetics and selection.

The company undertakes to provide recommendations for improving meet breeds of sheep in the North Caucasus Federal District and the surrounding districts, creating a high-quality parent stock of sheep that meets high consumer qualities.

AbacusBio will work with Damate to identify the correct set of specifications for carcasses to be sent for slaughter. Experts will review national and international landscapes to determine optimal performance, paying attention to veterinary and commodity criteria, animal appearance.

It should be reminded that Damate has been implementing a mutton production project which includes all stages of production since 2018 in the North Caucasian Federal District. Damate cooperates with farmers through its own service company. It is the first in Russia to have a large reserve in the development of sheep-breeding farms, which in the future will act as a raw material base for the project.

Damate concludes long-term agreements with farmers and enterprises, according to the terms of which the company provides a range of services for the development of the economy in accordance with modern technologies and standards of the agricultural industry.
