Damate Group has launched its own mutton brand - BAZARCO. Under the new brand, the company plans to produce a wide range of products, including natural and chopped semi-finished products, marinades and ready-made dishes.

As part of the brand’s promotion, Damate plans to expand the customer’s understanding of lamb as a traditional meat of Caucasian and Eastern cuisine, talking about the nutrition facts, benefits, and ways of cooking lamb.

BAZARCO combines the individual approach of farming with the reliability of a large producer, the traditional taste of oriental cuisine with technological solutions in cutting and packaging.

The farms and production are located in an ecologically clean area of the foothills of the North Caucasus. Herding in mountain meadows, balanced feeding and careful keeping of animals supplemented by strict production standards are the key to the freshness, taste and quality of BAZARCO meat.

The logo BAZARCO is made in the shape of a heart, a symbol of love for mutton, an oriental ornament inside forms the outlines of the animal's head. The green color of the logo symbolizes environmental friendliness, naturalness and freshness of products.

Damate plans to produce about 50% of branded products of the total volume.

“Despite the interest of consumers to lamb, it is now sold mainly in markets or in hypermarkets. The product is not sufficiently represented in neighborhood stores due to limited supply, including packaged products. We hope that the appearance of branded products on the shelves in modern convenient packaging will make the product affordable, and the popularization of this type of meat will allow us to increase the customers demand,” commented Darya Laschenko, Deputy Marketing Director of Damate.

BAZARCO branded products have already appeared on store shelves. Damate plans to establish distribution of products throughout the Russian Federation.

Lamb production is the fourth business activity of Damate, opened in 2018. The company also specializes in turkey meat production, milk processing and dairy farming.

To date, the company continues to implement a project for the production and processing of lamb in the North Caucasus Federal District. The project includes feedlots and breeding grounds, a service company and a meat processing plant. After reaching full capacity, Damate will produce about 42 tons per day or 12.6 thousand tons of mutton meat products per year
