Damate Group has completed the process of re-registration of the holding company, an international company of Damate Joint Stock Company (MKAO Damate) to Kaliningrad. The subsequent exclusion from the register in a foreign jurisdiction was the final stage of redomicilation into a special administrative region (SAR).

Damate, as one of the largest systemic Russian agricultural companies, has been operating within the Russian right field since its foundation. The redomicilation process was started in 2022. Damate was one of the first companies to launch the process of moving to the SAR on Oktyabrsky Island in Kaliningrad.

The choice of the region was determined by its convenient location both in terms of logistics and time zones. The company chose Kaliningrad, as it was important to maintain business manageability and reduce the risks of an unfriendly jurisdiction. The availability of tax benefits when registering in Kaliningrad was not the main selection criterion, as Damate is now actively investing in the development of production and the benefits of paying dividends in the medium term are not decisive for the agricultural holding.

"We have completed the redomicilation process, which was quite a laborious process in the current reality. Our task was to remove uncertainty, possible legal conflicts and risks for our parent company, which we successfully managed. Now the legal entity Damate IJSC operates fully within the Russian legal framework and at the same time can use the opportunities provided by the SAR," said Stanislav Varich, First Deputy General Director of Damate.

It should be reminded that Damate Group is a Russian agricultural holding company, a categorical expert in niche meat markets. The company produces turkey, duck and lamb meat, and also develops dairy farming. Damate sells products under Indilight, Ozerka, BazarCo, Karachayevskaya Chernaya, Salima, and Only! trademarks throughout the country and is developing its export business.

Damate is the leader in turkey production in Russia, ranks first among European companies and is one of the top five turkey producers in the world. In 2024, Damate produced 241.5 thousand tons of turkey meat.
