A ceremony to mark the launch of sales was held on December 23 at the BSC Fine Foods supermarket in Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by Malaysian Agriculture Minister Mohamad Sabu, Russian Ambassador to Malaysia Nail Latypov, Damate's trading partners, and the retail chain's management.
Speaking at the ceremony, Malaysian Agriculture Minister Mohamad Sabu noted that the launch of turkey sales is the result of ongoing efforts by the Malaysian and Russian governments to ensure that products supplied to the country meet national food safety standards and halal requirements. He also noted that turkey imports will help strengthen bilateral trade relations between Malaysia and Russia.
"If our non-Muslim friends are invited to taste turkey, they shouldn't have any doubts, as products certified by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia can be trusted," he said.
Damate received permission to export to Malaysia in early December 2025. Supplies are being made from a turkey production complex in the Penza Region. The company was the first in Russia to implement the Malaysian Halal management system, recognized worldwide as the most stringent set of requirements for product quality and safety, personnel, religious practices, production processes, and management.
Furthermore, the poultry complex has been certified by Rosselkhoznadzor and the International Halal Standardization and Certification Center (IHSCC) for compliance with Malaysian standards. The Damate turkey slaughter and processing plant successfully completed a series of audits with inspectors from the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) to verify compliance with Malaysia's veterinary and sanitary requirements and Halal standards.
The audits confirmed full compliance of the products with national requirements, and positive decisions were made regarding market entry and supply.
Damate plans to expand its partnerships with Malaysian suppliers, and the company's immediate plans include expanding its range of turkey products.
Damate began developing its export business in 2015. Currently, the company has permits to supply products to over 60 countries, including China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Benin, Angola, and other countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Consistently high product quality and compliance with Halal requirements are key components of its competitive advantage.(Изменено)Восстановить исходный вариант
